Meet Al & Alisha (and friends) from Altus, our new Mascots. These aluminium characters are the new face of Altus and are here to offer tips and information about what it is that we do.
You'll see them across our website, video channels and socials helping to make aluminium cool.
At Altus we manufacture aluminium for both the construction and industrial segments. We offer career pathways in aluminium manufacturing and fabrication with other positions available in warehousing and factory processing.
As a growing organisation of +/- 650 people, we also have support roles including sales, customer service, finance, administration, marketing, people and culture, health and safety.
You'll find Altus to be a positive and supportive workplace, where diversity is appreciated and where inclusion and respect are valued.
We believe it is through our customer's success that we define our own. And sharing success extends from our people and our customers, to our families, our communities, and our country.
Our values were developed by our people in alignment with our strategy. We are passionate about Thinking differently, Earning trust and Achieving together; these are the Altus values which guide us every day.
At Altus we are committed to building a high performance culture and we encourage and support our people to develop the capabilities that will help our customers, our business and our people to achieve success.
We see learning as an every day activity and focus on the development opportunities that we can provide each of our people, so that they can be the best that they can be.
We recognise each other's achievements; ensuring success doesn't go unnoticed with our annual Altus Awards.
We believe long service milestones should be celebrated! Every five years we recognise and celebrate our long serving employees.
We offer competitive remuneration packages that are regularly reviewed and externally benchmarked.
It's important to us that our people have access to medical treatment, that's why we pay for all of our employees to be covered under a Southern Cross health insurance scheme.
We recognise that everyone works differently. Where practical and agreed, our employees have hybrid/flexible work options available to them.
Enhanced parental leave benefits. To support our people when they’re welcoming a new addition to the whanau, Altus offers a generous parental leave policy which includes paid parental leave (full pay for 6 months or half pay for 12 months) for primary caregivers, 4 weeks paid leave for secondary caregivers, as well as continuation of employer contribution toward Kiwisaver throughout the period of parental leave. Our employees also enjoy annual leave calculated at ordinary hours upon returning from parental leave.
We understand that there are times when it is helpful to confidentially talk to someone. Therefore, we are committed to providing free counselling sessions with EAP Services.
Retail discounts. At Altus, all of our employees can access a Kora card for fuel savings and we cover the monthly membership cost for our people.
We have a range of career opportunities available.
