Our extensive offer consists of aluminium sheet and plate, coil, extruded profiles, fabrication, surface finishing and customized design. We supply customers in the marine, transport, insulation, architectural, sign profiles, appliance and fabrication channels.
Altus Industrial Aluminium offers nationwide service with customer sales offices based out of our Distribution Centres which are located in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch. And our extrusion plants, anodizing and powder coating lines located in Hamilton and Auckland.
Altus aims to ensure the health and safety of every staff member and to minimise the impact its activities have on the environment. The extrusions and surface finishing operations are certified to ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System and our health and safety practices comply to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Safety and Health Management System.

Benefits of aluminium
Aluminium is one of the lightest commercially available metals. Key benefits include:
- Density about one third that of steel or copper
- Excellent strength to weight ratio
- Good corrosion resistance, with the option to anodise or powder coat for greater protection
- Thermal (heat) conductivity
- Electrical conductivity – high enough to be used as an electrical conductor (like copper)
- Economical recycling due to low melting temperatures – re-melting uses about 5% of the energy required to smelt new aluminium from its ore. We recycle 100% of our process related aluminium scrap.
